Quick watercolour paintings, keeping the looseness and actually making the runs and splashes look like something is a constant battle, most get thrown away.

The paintings above are studies for possible larger oil paintings. They are not how I want them at the moment and probably change completely before I hit upon something I want to paint large scale. The bottom one has already been painted over several times but it is probably better to experiment on this scale than on a larger scale as I already have a couple of pictures over a metre wide that I didn't plan out and now they seem never-ending.

The top painting is made of a triad of colours (Three colours equally spaced on the colour wheel) in this case Orange, Violet and Green.
