I can see you doing pyrography with found bits of wood and maybe painting over the top too. It is not hard to try but I find it tricky to be good :-)
The trouble is you have to keep moving otherwise you end up with burn holes when you stop. You have to imagine you are holding a plane and coming in to land so you are moving when you touch down and take off and then you will not end up with a dot at each end of the line.
